COGNAC
‘THE WORLD'S FINEST BRANDY ’

A brandy made since the early 1600’s in the region
centered around Jamac France. Made in pot stills and
aged in new French oak casks. A label bearing the
name ‘Grand Champagne’ (large meadow), or
“Petite Champagne’ (small meadow) means the
cognac was made in the particular region of
the cognac district. ‘Fine Champagne’ indicated
a blend of cognacs from both regions.

Cognacs are also graded based on their age:
‘VS’ (very special) aged 4 - 5 years
‘VSOP’ (very special old pale) aged 7 - 10 years
‘Napoleon’ usually aged 15 years
‘XO’ or ‘XXO’ (extra old) aged 20 - 50 years
